Even more impressive than Johnny Depp, here is a photo of my grandmother as a baby next to a Ford Trimotor — I’m guessing sometime in the early 1930s.
And as you can see in the previous post, Eliana also has a photo next to a Trimotor as a baby.

The week Eliana was born, Oshkosh was run amuck with a whole slew of film crews and famous folks from Hollywood. Johnny Depp and his friends revamped our downtown and also came out to EAA for an evening to shoot a few scenes in our 1929 Ford Trimotor.
The trailer for the movie was released this week and it includes a shot of the Trimotor as well as numerous shots from downtown. Here’s the trailer.
My mom and dad were visiting us while they were filming downtown. We could hear their machine guns firing about two miles away at a park we were at.
This last weekend Brenton and Jenna got to explore the Trimotor. As you can see, Brenton tried to fly it, but couldn’t find the ignition. (It’s under the tachometers).
Jenna, I don’t know if you’re a Johnny Depp fan, but he filmed a scene sitting right where you’re at.
