Makarios is the greek word for “blessed.” It was one of my favorite words when studying greek in college. Makarios has been at the forefront of my mind during the last couple weeks.

I came home this afternoon to find Katherine asleep on our bed amidst piles of little outfits. She apparently dozed off after about 10 minutes of sorting through shower gifts and hand-me-downs from friends.

Preparing for Parenthood

Tonight was our second of three childbirth education classes. Last week we learned about the different stages of labor and tonight we practiced various massage techniques. Katherine especially enjoyed the hand massage.
We really appreciate the staff at Mercy Medical and are looking forward to spending more time there in the not-too-distant future.
